Soccer cleats – Choosing the proper one

Soccer cleats Soccer cleats Choosing the proper oneSoccer cleats can make or break a player’s performance on the field. There are basically two types of soccer turfs in outdoor soccer and they are natural grass and artificial grass. Both are allowed in professional soccer. Most soccer shoes or soccer cleats are designed to work effectively on both fields. However some soccer cleats are designed to perform best on specific fields so if in doubt check the labels and details or ask.
The most important detail of the soccer cleat is the sole ie where the studs are. There are many different kinds of studs available with two major differences being the fixed studs and the removable changeable ones. There is no better one. It depends on your preference. Some prefer different kinds of soccer boots or soccer cleats for different fields and weather. Some prefer to use the same soccer cleats but only change the studs.
The choice of soccer cleats do not depend on type of field only. The weather plays a part too as it can render the field wet during rain or smooth and slippery during icy weather. As such, professionals will customize or use different soccer cleats to suit the field condition in order to maximize their performance on the field. As a guide 4 by 2s are popular for wet fields but the choice is yours. Each individual differs and what works for one might not work for another. A friendly piece of advice. Try to play around with different types of soccer cleats and you will have a good guide of what works best for you when!
Popular soccer cleat brands worn by soccer professionals include Adidas, Nike, Mizuno and Lotto though these are not the only brands available with others like Reebok and Puma being equally good. Each brand have their own proprietary technology and features. I shall talk more about the more popular Adidas and Nike soccer shoes with regards to the technology and features they incorporate to maximize your potential on the field. I am not endorsing them in any capacity and being the more popular brands am just using them as study examples.

There are different types of cleats normally just called soccer shoes or futsal shoes catered for indoor soccer itself which may be played on artificial grass or hard court in the case of futsal.

Another type of soccer is beach soccer which as the name implies is played on the beach. The ground in this case is sand and it is normally barefooted so no soccer cleats are needed.
